We’ve all heard it. And we’ve all heard people push back against it.
It’s easy to associate happiness with success. The holidays, the houses, the smiling faces in beautiful places. It looks like happiness. But often, that’s not the full story.
Scratch the surface and you’ll find that many people who seem to “have it all” are far from content. Wealthy professionals struggling with burnout or loneliness. Public figures whose tragic deaths remind us that no amount of money guarantees inner peace. Lottery winners who long for the simplicity of their old lives.
So what is happiness?
This is something I’ve been pondering. I believe there are two kinds of happiness:
The fleeting kind, those moments of joy that can shine through even in the darkest times. A kind word. A beautiful sunset. A shared laugh.
The deeper kind, a lasting sense of contentment and fulfilment. This kind of happiness comes when your emotional experience aligns with your values, needs, and desires. It’s less about chasing highs and more about feeling emotionally well and living meaningfully.
Neither form is about constant positivity. They’re not about pretending everything’s fine, or expecting to feel good all the time, because let’s be honest, who can?
This part of the website is here to help you notice and nurture those micro moments of happiness, and reflect on what they tell you about your deeper needs and values.
We’ll explore how to weave more joy into your everyday life. Not through grand gestures, but through presence, purpose, and simple yet powerful practices.
Let’s get curious, about what happiness really looks and feels like, for you.
